Our History in Action

Heartfelt Hands STEM and enrichment programs in Houston.
Our Legacy
Since 2018, Heartfelt Hands has engaged 280 participants—including students, educators, stakeholders, and community members—across three school districts and two community centers through STEM, coding, literacy, mentorship, and hands-on learning.
That foundation now supports our next step: preparing K–12 students from underserved Houston communities for emerging opportunities in the AI and digital-infrastructure economy—without losing the trusted, community-centered approach that defines our work.
The Modern Backbone
Students explore high-demand roles in cybersecurity, infrastructure operations, and software engineering.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Kenneth Norman
Founder & Executive Director
Kenneth Norman is a native Houstonian, operational leader, and community advocate whose life has been shaped by service, education, and investing in people. The first person in his family to graduate from college, he earned a B.S. in Aviation Computer Science and a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Texas Southern University. He is currently completing the Chief Technology Officer Program at The University of Texas at Austin.
His service includes volunteering with Star of Hope Mission, mentoring students through Upward Bound Math and Science, and supporting the U.S. Department of Defense as a civilian contractor in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Dubai. He later built a career in Houston’s energy sector and now leads regional operations for a global medical nonprofit.
His commitment to service is further reflected in his membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., while his experience as a collegiate tennis player helped shape the discipline, teamwork, and perseverance he brings to leadership and mentorship.
In 2018, Kenneth founded Heartfelt Hands to advance educational excellence, youth development, and workforce readiness—helping young people recognize their potential, build practical skills, and create stronger futures.
